Christi Friesen Workshops
March 3 and 4, 2012
The Chicago Area Polymer Clay Guild is pleased to announce that we are again offering two days of workshops with artist Christi Friesen. A total of four workshops will be offered over the course of two days: Saturday, March 3 and Sunday, March 4.
Please note: The Sunday afternoon workshop is closed to registration, effective 2/13/2012.

Registration deadline is Friday, February 24. Minimum enrollment for each workshop is ten participants; maximum enrollment is twenty-five participants.
Each individual workshop is $40.00 per person. Workshops are appropriate for all skill levels. Not a member of the Chicago Area Polymer Clay Guild? No problem, we welcome all polymer clay enthusiasts!

Location and Materials
The workshops are being held at Art Clay World (ACW) in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The location offers an excellent space for work and socializing, as well as a showroom floor stocked with tools and push-molds.

Individual Workshops
"Here Be Dragons"
Sat. March 3, 2012
9:00am-12:30pm
Make a focal piece, brooch or wall sculpture in this class! Your dragon can be steampunk, faerie, floral or fantasy! We will learn sculpting techniques, tricks for adding embellishments and accents and surface treatments!
All skill levels welcome.
"Art Nouveau Blooms"

1:30pm - 5:00pm
Make a focal piece, brooch or wall sculpture in this class! We will create florals in the Art Nouveau style, embellished with beads and other mixed media accents. This style is flowing, with lots of movement.

"Pegasus"
Sun. March 4, 2012
9:00am - 12:30pm
Go fantasy or go steampunk in this class! Your final piece can be a sculpture, brooch or focal piece. Lots of fun with sculptural techniques and incorporating embellishments and mixed media accents.

"Spectacular Stained Glass"

This is a reallllly fun class that you'll find very addictive! We'll create faux stained glass with polymer. Your pieces can be pendants, brooches or wall pieces. We will explore design and composition, color matching and adding surface elements, in addition to learning this delightful technique!
